Hunting and Fishing:
It is no secret that the Chautauqua Area has some of the best ice fishing and hunting in the state of NY. Record size fish and trophy size buck are taken regularly from in and around the area. A few trophy size buck have even been spotted grazing in the yard at The Stow-Away. For fishing license, limit and season information click here. Although the Stow-Away is geared toward summer and what is considered "THE SEASON" which generally runs from early June until late August at Chautauqua Lake, The Stow-Away is a "Heated" Four Season Cottage and lake House. With four seasons, the Chautauqua Lake region offers plenty of outdoor recreation. Sports on land, water and snow, wine-tasting, magnificent views and undisturbed landscapes while hunting, ice fishing, hiking, cycling, birding, ATV trail riding, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
The Stow-Away does have limited availability for those that would like to spend the off-season holidays at the lake. There is no better place to be after a long day of holiday shopping in Lakewood, located just 7 miles from the Stow-away or in Erie Pa, located just 30 miles away. The Stow-Away is available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Valentines day, Easter and other favorite off season holidays. Consider The Stow-Away for birthday parties, kids parties, family reunions, etc. We offer gift certificates for those that would like to give as a gift.
